Mental Health Services

Please find some resources below that may prove useful during testing times. If you are worried about your mental health and recognise that it is deteriorating, please do contact the surgery and a GP will discuss your concerns and provide further support as needed.

Mental Health Crisis

Call NHS 111 and select the mental health option if you, or someone you know, is in a mental health crisis. Available 24/7, you’ll speak to a mental health professional who can help you find the right support. In Stockport, you can also call the freephone 24/7 crisis helpline on 0800 014 9995. If it’s an emergency and you’re worried you can’t keep yourself or someone else safe, ring 999 or go to your nearest A&E.

If you feel like you need to talk to someone, any time of day or night, you can contact the below free listening services:

  • call Samaritans on 116 123
  • text ‘SHOUT’ to 85258 or text ‘YM’ if you’re under the age of 19
  • if you are under 19, you can call Childline on 0800 1111 and the number will not show on your phone bill
